Ascent Trip Report

Started 8:15am from Observation Point, went straight down the hill to Boulder Creek, very steep. Found a log to cross, very steep ascent out of creek. Then over to Cat creek, not quite as bad descent, found a log system to cross, and very steep ascent, blowdown for 1000', then like a park for 2000', and not bad after that. Ridge mostly class 2, reached far summit 4:45pm. Brought bivy gear in case we didn't make it back to the cars. Getting dark on the descent to Cat creek, came out 200 yards from log system to cross, creek side too steep to traverse over to so waded the creek with full gear. Finally stopped at a somewhat flat place at 9:00pm. Took another 2 hours to get back to cars. Found log to cross, then had a time getting back out of the creek, 10' section we had slid and held onto branches descending, had to clean some moss, find some footholds, high class 4, then a steep hike back to cars.
