Ascent Trip Report

Thanksgiving Day. About 3 degrees F at the trailhead. Snowshoed the entire way. Trail was broken well until the junction to the Nubble, then less so. Quite a strenuous hike with the snow and we were trying to make good time because my hike mate had to get back for family time. The views from the overlooks are much better than from the summit. You can see the entire Washbowl, several High Peaks and other mountains. Less to be seen from the summit. It was -1 at summit with some wind chill. Descent was a little tricky, as snowshoes became more like skis and I fell several times. Low teens when back to trailhead.
