view from Oreana Peak towards Galena Summit (the gap in the dark brown ridgeline -- we came up the 4WD pack trail behind that from Gardnerville / I-395 through Dutch Canyon and Lone Pine Canyon) and the Sierra Nevada (at the horizon -- you can see Freel and Jobs in the center, and Daggett Pass over to the South Lake Tahoe area on the right), with the "parking lot" just below Oreana Peak in the foreground (~50 m west of summit -- Dean's trusted Range Rover was our machine to the trail head, where we met a few ATVs that had come up via Red Canyon :-), and Galena Peak just at the right edge of the pic / ridge (where we ended up driving next -- that 4WD trail is visible behind the Range Rover, passing to the right of the dark green bushy area) (2016-11-12).
