| Little Pine Mountain has no established trails. A somewhat obscure path to the summit can be reached by hiking roughly 0.2 miles on the Blue Trail from the Mount Major parking area off NH route 11. The path starts as the Blue Trail turns left in a gradual bend.
The path, which generally heads north, will bring you through open forest with many medium and large glacial erratics. About half way to the summit a memorial plaque mounted on one of the erratics may be observed. As the topography begins to level out the summit may be found by continuing north to a large flat rock about 25 feet in diameter. The summit has a small opening with no views. There is a vernal pool a few hundred feet north of the summit in a mossy null. |
