This is a typical North Alabama limestone moutain where there is lot of steep gain to the summit then the mountain is a flat top mesa top structure where the actual HP i essentially not relevant and hard to confirm. These mountain tops have much winding plateaus therefore there is plenty of visual prominence (such as this point) but actual is based on the nearest slightly higher HP on the mounain several plateaus over to the SE at ELEV 1580+. The col was taken as the small dip to the east. The gain anywhere along this mountain is a minimum of 800 feet and often 900.
