The official name of this peak is Snowflower Mountain, not Sunflower mountain as on the USGS map. The name was given to the peak by Alvin McLane many years ago, and this is the name in the official GNIS names database. Most climbing web sites, such as Summitpost.com and ListsOfJohn.com, also correctly show the name as Snowflower.
