Ile Fourchue is a stepping stone for cruisers going from St. Martin to St. Barthélémy. It is a small uninhabited island, most likely the tip of an old volcano. The summit is high on a jagged pinnacle that requires some steep scrambling with some exposure. Marine charts show the summit at 104 meters. View from the south-west, coming into the bay for anchorage. The lighter toned rock in the foreground is the small island separated from the main body (original photo size 3264x2448).
