Mount Tyrwhitt is another popular peak in the Highwood Pass area of the CDN Rockies. It sits on the boundary of British Columbia and Alberta, but is more easily accessed and climbed from the Alberta side. The hike in is a lovely alpine meadows ramble, starting from Highwood pass (incidentally the highest paved road pass in Canada). Try from June on, with an ice axe or a pair of poles. A straightforward, if exposed, scramble on the upper slopes.
