This peak should not be confused with the much more well-known and higher Bachelor Butte (aka Mount Bachelor) near Bend, OR. This peak is a relatively low outlier west of Mount Jefferson, but still has good prominence. A trail goes to the summit. Bachelor Butte near Bend is, of course, the site of a major downhill ski area and a high vantage point for the Three Sisters.
