DescriptionRoeliff Jansen Park is an innovative New York State Park characterized by a series of many different partnerships. With the purchase of this farmland slated for development, the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation partnered with the Town of Hillsdale to manage the RJP, which then engaged community volunteers ("park partners") to help manage, maintain and run the park day-to-day. The RJP’s Overlook, reached via mowed lanes of trail in alfalfa fields, sits on the farm’s highground offering a 360° view of the surrounding valley and hills all-around including impressive Berkshire views. |
