List DescriptionThis list is not formally or mathematically defined--it is simply a list of 107 peaks in a great book. But, like the book, the list is a rewarding one for peakbaggers. It has a very pleasing variety to it, from trail hikes to serious mountaineering expeditions, and from rock spires to wilderness meadows. The common bond of these summits is that they represent the best of the incredible mountain diversity of the Greater Yellowstone area, the hub of the northern Rockies. Represented are peaks from a galaxy of great ranges: the Tetons, the Wind Rivers, the Beartooths, and many others.
Anyone who has the mountains in their heart could be inspired to move to Jackson Hole so that they can start picking off summits on this great list.
