List Description

Thanks to Jim Moore, who provided many of the isolation limit points for this list. This means that the isolation distances on this list are the actual distances to the nearest higher point of land, not just the nearest summit that happens to be in the site's database.

This list shows the peaks that truly dominate the California landscape, each one standing as the highest point in the center of a circle over 50 miles in diameter (over 1,950 square miles).
