List DescriptionThis list shows the highest mountains in the world down as far as I am somewhat confident, about 7200 meters. There are lists that go below this threshold, but at that point the peaks become very numerous, poorly surveyed, and difficult to rank accurately. It would be nice if a good list down to 6900 meters could be constructed, since then we would know the rank of Aconcagua (highest peak outside Asia) in the world.
All of the summits on this list are in the great Himalaya-Central Asia complex of mountains.
