Ascent Trip Report***WTC Rock Travel and Navigation Hike***
Hike began with navigation noodle to work on map and compass skills, and finished with nice Class 3 ascent of this very, very cool Lower Peaks List peak. Route up was from around the north side; route down was via the traditional route connecting this peak with the Indian Cove campground. Views were fantastic on summit and included an amazing glimpse of San Gorgonio, completely covered in snow and draped with wispy high clouds. 33 People in Group plus a guest appearance by the legendary former WTC instructor Captain Eddie. Trip led by Beth Epstein and Kim Gimenez. Assistants included Jim Ball, Jen Flory, Alex, Brad, Taka Ohyama, Lori Shiraishi, Dave Scobie, Devious Dave, and Homer Tom.
