Ascent Trip ReportThis was a great hike, even though on the way up we didn't realize the road curved as far to the south as it did, and so we ended up climbing steeper terrain on the southwest ridge.
The view from the summit exceeded my high expectations - I think it is the best in the Vegas area, especially when there is snow on the surrounding mountains - we could see McCullough Mountain, Black Mountain, Potosi Mountain, the Spring Mountains, and the Sheep Mountains, all with snow on them!
If one keeps to the dirt road and takes it to the pass, then this is class 1-2. If one takes the southwest ridge, it is class 2-3.
