Ascent Trip ReportTrailhead was the indigenous Cucapa Indian Museum across Hwy. 5 from the peak. The matriarch is Innocencia (74 years old) who agreed to watch our cars, and then volunteered her nephew Alejandro to guide us as he had already summitted 7x previously. We had perfect weather, partly cloudy and cool, and it took almost 11 hours, with approximately 4,000+ feet of gain. We did camp nearby on open land to get an early morning start.
