Ascent Trip ReportThe 2152 site with the tower structure looks like it may well be higher than the 2160+ contour. Easy enough to do both and CYA.
We passed two gates in route, both of which were open. Looks to be the default situation. No negative signage. Passable to a car. Logging company terrain, maybe Hampton, maybe Weyerhauser.
The final 400' vertical feet of road from the W to the summit shows as trail on the topo. In fact it is a good road.
Our approach was from the W. From 101 take N Nemah Road then L on Williams Creek Road. Turn Right on the A Line which will go more or less along the route of Williams Creek, mostly on the N side of the creek, for about 5 miles or so. Cross the North Fork Williams Creek in between "North" and "Fork" on the map. At 1100' you'll start to head up a spur ridge that will take you to the main ridge just a bit W of where the word "Private" shows on the topo. From there head E until you are NW of the peak and then follow the natural mapped sequence to the top. No need to drive around to the SE side, the road that shows as a trail from the NW works just fine.
