Ascent Trip ReportFollowed 4wd rd to 6000ft then climbed through trees and partial snowcover to 7000ft. Snow became deeper, 1ft with three foot drifts made it to point 8130ft about 1/2 mile from summit but the thought of postholing in waist deep snow the rest of the way and a diminishing reseve of energy (even after a 5hr energy drink) I decided to turn back and the descent down a snow filled ravine was not any better. Total miles 19 in 9.5 hours.
