Ascent Trip ReportThe only hard thing about this mountain was finding the bottom of the trail at Gunstock Ski Area. No mountains were visible with the thick cloud cover. The "Ridge Trail" to Rowe is actually a wide gravel road. To find it, start at the pond to the right of the Gunstock parking lot and go around it to the left on a paved road. Before you leave the pond, a partly paved road heads uphill to the left. Take this road uphill to beyond the end of the beginner's ski slope. Not too far beyond this, a gravel road leaves left and heads directly up the mountain. Some overhead wires go in the same direction, and there is a sign saying "4X4 only beyond here". Trudge up this road to the top of the mountain. There is a very large radio tower on top. The actual top of the mountain seems to be partly around to the left where rest of the Ridge Trail from Gunstock comes in. The Ridge Trail is supposed to be blazed with white, but I only saw a few markers in the trees on my way up the hill.
