Ascent Trip ReportParked at a gate next to the substation. From there, the powerline trail heads north and swerves to the right and around a marshy area. There are blue arrows on the atv trails in this area, but it is obvious that you stay left and head gradually uphill and back towards the powerlines until you top out and can see higher ground to the northeast. There is an access trail that gets you to the highest contours, and there is a benchmark and 3 triangulation markers mounted in rocks around the northern area. There has been some recent logging, and there are piles of slash scattered around, but you can easily see the witness posts that mark where 2 of the benchmarks lie. This area appeared to be higher than the other nearby contour of equal elevation, but we canvassed both for the most prominent rock.
