Ascent Trip ReportCold, very windy (what a shocker), and exhausting! This mountain earns its reputation! It's probably better attempted in the summer, if climbed the old-fashioned way, sans vehicle or cog rail. In favor of not mis-stepping and falling to our deaths in a slick descent down the trail we had ascended, we opted to hike down the auto road, and eventually we hitchhiked in the SUV of a nice couple from Virginia/Maine.
