Ascent Trip Report

We stated out from the "trailhead" .25 miles east of Christmas Tree Pass, but should have gone another .25 miles east to make the trip more direct. Once over the initial pass, one should aim for going around the right of the large spire in front of Spirit mountain. As one heads there, one should pick up one of a myriad of use trails marked by cairns. The trails are steep with some loose sand and rock, but I've seen much worse. The only part that gets tricky is when one reaches the final ridge and it looks like the peak is off to the right, it is really off to the left. One must go through a crack in the hill to the left to see and reach the summit.

Views from the top are incredible!
