Ascent Trip ReportDrove up to trailhead (end of road). Hiked along old road (not vehicularly passable due to major slides and washouts) and overshot the trail intersection. Ascended the ridge via a drainage and picked up the trail along the ridge to the northeast of the summit.
Unable to traverse around the summit block (to follow standard trail) due to amount and incline of snow - possible avalanche danger, didn't bring a shovel to verify). Turned back below summit block after brief attempt to climb up eastern spur; had to abort due to mixed rock/ice conditions and deteriorating weather. Attempted route up summit block probably a class 3 or 4 in the absence of ice.
Notes: Rocks on road; be careful if driving when snow is on roadway as some rocks are hidden in the snow. Also, trail from roadway currently has NO markings. It may be easily discernible when the ground is bare, but not with snow.
Starting point (Table Rock Trailhead) is somewhere between the unimproved road turn-outs at 2418' and 3492'
