Ascent Trip Report

Worst summit ever.

I bagged Hale for #8 this past weekend. Maybe my least favorite peak so far. There was only one person, a guy with his dog when we got to the summit. I'm usually happy to see hikers with dogs and I love it when there aren't huge crowds on the summit. But this dude was on his cell phone the entire time we were there. We had lunch and had a nice break so he was talking for quite a while. This isn't good hiking etiquette, is it? That guy sucked. We continued down the Lend-A-Hand trail and spent some time at Zealand Falls which was fantastic. That made the hike worthwhile and enjoyable. Even the hike back on the Zealand trail is enjoyable.
