Ascent Trip ReportThis is a nice road hike, and the view from the top is well worth the little effort. There is plenty of parking space at the intersection of Summit Road and Loma Prieta Road. Though one could drive further, at this intersection there is a (road) sign saying residents and authorized vehicles only. At the saddle south of the mountain (where Loma Chiquita Rd branches off), Loma Prieta Road turns to dirt and shortly thereafter there is a locked gate. About a half of a mile past the saddle, a road branches off to the left (a sign may indicate LOMA 2, 3, & 4 is to the left, and LOMA 1 to the right) - go left (I caught this thanks to Scott Burley's trip report). One does need to pass through an open gate with signs saying "no trespassing" and similar warnings, but beyond that the road proceeds to the summit - there's one more split, but it doesn't matter which branch one takes. At the summit, each antenna site is (securely) fenced in, indicating the prior "no trespassing" signs were obsolete.
