Ascent Trip ReportDay #110 - - LAST DAY - -
6h00 - We woke up to a drizzle/fog, not a good day for hike. However this is the last day, the weather didn't bother me, I was pumped to get this out of the way.
6h45 - Rose dropped me off at TH outside of town and went back to the Inn, she'll check out later and pick me up at N Adams around 17-18h00. I wore a light day pack with water and a lunch, started out with a poncho, at a good pace, felt great.
Overall it was a lousy, UNEVENTFULL LAST DAY with an off and on light drizzle, fog on higher elevations. A good long (8 mile) climb to the summit of Mount Greylock, not difficult. Didn't go to the monument as I've been there before, MA's Highest Point all fogged in. Rose and I drove up here, for a visit, in 1999-05-22, for my 34th USA HIGHPOINT.
I moved good all day, number of granny breaks on the ascent, took 2 lunch breaks. No views whatsoever.
Anticlimactic finish at N Adams MA, (17h30) Rose was waiting at Phelps Ave TH. I wasn't at all excited, a normal day on the trail.
We drove/overnighted at a hotel in Albany NY, had a nice dinner with wine. In the morning we drove back home.
THIS COMPLETES THIS YEAR'S TRIP AND THE WHOLE OF THE AT. FOLLOWING ARE THE AVERAGE STATS FOR THIS 110 DAY(includes 12 rest days) TRIP.
