Ascent Trip ReportBara and I scheduled this doggie hike and it was great. Bara and Pierre joined me and Lucy up the Mt Tecumseh Trail (leaving from the ski area). The brook crossing is not well noted so be on the lookout for the yellow blaze across the brook. There are lots of Trillium (sp?) growing, very pretty. The trail is in pretty good condition, not too much blowdown. Snow starts a little past the ski area outlook. The snow was hard packed for the most part, no snow shoes needed. I barebooted it and didn't post hole at all. Traction on the descent was helpful for Bara. The weather was beautiful, more views than I had anticipated (from various outlooks toward the top). This was Lucy's first 4K; she did a fantastic job. We descended the same way, except when we got to the ski area outlook we took the slope the rest of the way down (about 1/3 of the way), the dogs were happy to have room to run and frolic.
