Ascent Trip Report

Day hike with my friend Joe, who was 'bagging' his first peak with me; this was a good peak for someone new to hiking and in decent shape.
Most of the trip it was extremely cloudy/foggy and visibility was only a hundred feet or less, although there were a few times on the way down when the clouds separated and we could see for 3-5 miles. The only other mountain we could make out was Humbug Mt., which is very nearby; it was too overcast to see any of the big peaks to the east or north.
Be watchful on the road on the way in. It's paved, but if you have a standard vehicle there are some dips and potholes that might play with your exhaust pipes if you're going too fast! : )
