Ascent Trip Report

Second peak on my 3-peak PCT hike after Throop, before Baden-Powell. I made a mistake by intentionally leaving the PCT and following a use trail while heading east along the ridge. This took me through hordes of spiky bushes and there was quite a bit of elevation gain. On my descent from the summit, I continued east toward the PCT on a much shorter and prominent use trail. If I had stayed on the PCT to this side (the side closer to Baden-Powell), the PCT would have done much of the elevation gain for me instead of bushwacking uphill.

Anyhow, the summit was quiet and there was a nice log bench in the shade on which to have lunch.
