Ascent Trip ReportThere is only one Smith Benchmark, so the other candidate should be removed. I hit both candidates anyway, but there is a true benchmark that everyone can visit here. The GPS (PN-40) showed Smith to be higher. Drive to Ascot lane, drive around the cul du sac to the six o'clock position (south)and you will see some woods to the south. Right before you get to the residence on the east, park your car. Take a intentional offset toward the house, but don't get too close...always respect the private property. You will come quickly to the top of a hill...I hate to call it a ridge but I guess it is. Head west following the crest of the ridge and you will come across a large rock. The benchmark is on the south side of the rock.
