Ascent Trip Report

Finally, a nice public places and bummer the top supposedly has amazing views of 5 snow capped peaks including Hood and St Helens BUT not today. The haze was crazy thick. Oh well I will come back and do with hike again with Karen and the dog perhaps.

Parked at the standard parking lot and hiked down to the entrance road to earn the prominence. Hiked up using the Wildhorse Trail up and the Summit Trail coming down. Total hike was about 1.8 miles and about 350 feet of gain. The rising temperature was now from 75F to 79F and still on the rise. Got to get in the last hike of the day before it hits 105 today!
