Ascent Trip Report

Temp: 26-40 F, no wind, very few clouds.
Even though it is only mid October, there are several inches of snow on Giant, with significant accumulations of ice and snow starting at around ~2,500 feet. I strongly recommend hiking poles and crampons for this 7.2-mile, particularly for the descent. The top has gorgeous views of the High Peaks, including Marcy, Algonquin and Whiteface.
