Ascent Trip Report

From Hough to Dix, I had great views of the Beckhorn, which just happens to be a false summit. Once you get to the top of it, you look farther over, and you have to take another 10 minutes to get over to it. It was still rewarding to get all the way over there. Still had plenty of daylight, but it was a good 8 or 9 miles to get back to Elk Lake. It looks pretty far, but once back down, it was 3.8 miles back to the car. A bunch of Frenchies showed up and started a 46 party. Can't wait to be doing that!!!
