Ascent Trip ReportIt was alternating between rain and some light sleet on the way up. We passed the turnoff for the summit of Cascade and got to the top of Porter first. Picked off Cascade on the way back. Timing was perfect, as the rain cleared up, the clouds overhead blew away and the sun came up by the time we reached Cascade's summit. Got some gorgeous shots of the surrounding countryside. Blue skies, clouds, fall colors in full effect. I'm told this is one of a very few of the 46 high peaks with a 360-degree view. Muddy on the way back down. Every idiot and his sister was on the trail that day.
