Ascent Trip ReportStarted 9:22AM om Ethan Pond Trail at 302. Took Willey Field Trail over Willey and then Field. Toke Avalon Trail to Mt Avalon for lunch. Then down to Highland Center. Got there at 3:00PM - 7.2M Point to Point hike with 30' temps. at the top and 10-15 MPH NW winds while hiking between Willey and Field. On way to Avalon we had a couple of really cool snow pellet squalls. That stayed through lunch and broke up into a Partly Cloudy late afternoon at the bottom 50' with a absolutely gorgeous foliage! Left bike at HC and pedaled to my car at trail head of Ethan Pond Trail about 4.5M down rte 302 doing a very good speed with crazy leaf peeping tourist all about. Biggest thing was my daughter completing her first and second 4000 foot peak. She did them with a friend and both were happy!
