Ascent Trip Report

Drive-up. No access issues or negative signage beyond whatever access is generally required on the Colville Reservation. Drove N from Grand Coulee Dam, and ignored the barricades on Peter Dan Road. Once due W of the peak, turn off of 155 and R on Rebecca Lake Road. Drive road through a town of a dozen houses at Rebecca Lake (marsh) and up until SW of Buffalo Lake. Go R at T, then quickly L on unsigned BIA 21 which is the road tracking the ridge between Buffalo Lake and McGinnis Lake. Road is as mapped the whole way. You could do it in a sedan but it is remote and has considerable rutting so I'd rate it Outback worthy. Eventually 21 curls NE and then hits a saddle just N of the peak. Pass through an open gate final ascent to the top. Did not see anyone in the LO. The summit is a boulder scramble which I'd rate class 3 but maybe there is a class 2 way up it. No real issue. BM on slightly lower boulder. The area around Buffalo Lake looks pretty.
