Ascent Trip ReportPeak 1 of 2 Parked in National Trust car park (pay and display) at Brackenclose to the NE of Wast Water. Used postcode for wasdale head CA20 to drive to area. No phone coverage to area on my provider.
Despite the weather forecast of 7C and overcast the actual temperature was 16.5 with a clear sky when we arrived at approx 10.20am.
Followed Lingmell gill se (path on rhs of gill at start) then east towards hollow stones. At hollow stones took the path ne for a more gradual ascent. Continued se towards broad crag. Cloud base had dropped to just above broad crag. Continued sw to scafell summit.
