Ascent Trip ReportSkiied into Roaring Brook from Abol Bridge via trail/road but cut across Abol Pond, lots of bare ice. Summit via Cathedrals. could see dark, low clouds rolling in from the east. on summit I post-holed and hyperextended knee but seemed fine after a few minutes. went for Knife Edge crossing but weather hit before So. Peak turning into a near whiteout.got turned around somehow going down So. peak so followed tracks back up to Baxter then glissade down chutes west of Cathedrals. Woke up next morning with a swollenn knee so I stayed with Laurie and took telephotos of Mark, Dennis and Jason crossing the Knife edge east-west in good conditions. Back out to see the Pats beat the Rams in the SuperBowl
