|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
|Peak:||Tip Top Mountain|
| Elevation:||7623 ft / 2323 m|
Ascent Trip ReportA nice quick hike (driving to and from the "trailhead" is likely to take almost as much time as the hike - a high clearance vehicle is recommended). The summit provides a decent, but not remarkable, view.
The only challenge is finding the unmaintained trail to the summit from the road - when you come to the cement storage shack, go past it (on the level road - not on the road ascending to the left) - the trail starts about 50 yards down the road ascending by a solitary tree on the left. If you miss the trail and come to the end of the road, just start climbing the southeast ridge - that will bring you to the trail higher up.
