Ascent Trip ReportA very popular touristy hike offering great views.
The summit is topped with a tall orange TV Mast and a wooden observation platform on the rocky outcrop, there are two geodetic survey markers, one on each side of the TV Mast, it offers outstanding views if the weather is agreeable, but not on this day.
The TH is located on the BRP's Pisgah Parking, Mile 407.6, about 24 miles south of Ashville. Moderate hike with some steep sections, less than 2 hour hike.
