Ascent Trip ReportTrip to a sub-summit of Mist Mountain. This was a fun and, at some points, challenging day out. I did this solo, as many of the Kananaskis and Highwood pass area peaks. Ended up scrambling up some steep rocky gully (too lazy to bring Kane's guidebook that day) and, due to snow clinging to the summit ridge, decided to stop at the south sub-summit. Mist Mountain is a fairly rugged peak that doesn't get the attention its neighbours like Mt. Rae and Mt. Tyrwhitt get (not in this database, btw). Bring an ice axe to help plodding up the final slopes...
