Ascent Trip ReportFresh from a romp through the Colorado Rockies, I hitchhiked to Jasper for some season closure, hoping to get a nice day or two. I did get some nice weather - and got the chance to climb Pyramid Mountain. This is a long day; I benefitted from renting a mountain bike and doing the approach road on the bike. The scrambling route bored me a bit, so I deviated from it and ended getting into some fairly exposed terrain. The summit cone is strewn with big boulders, it felt endless and my footing was, I remember, precarious. A great day out, summit views included Robson, Mt. Edith Cavell and other giants, plus numerous front ranges peaks.
