Ascent Trip ReportA left turn off the Hunt Trail gets you out of the crowds, up some pretty strenuous little scrambles, and onto a wide-open peak with a fantastic view up to Katahdin. The Owl may be in the shadow of the big mountain but is a great hike on its own. The steep upper part of the trail makes the hike a little longer than the distance might suggest, but the views are well worth it.
