Ascent Trip Report

Standard hourglass route from a camp at Lake Como. Gotta be the toughest two-and-a-half miles anywhere. Beautiful, clear morning and calm weather on the summit, but we got hit with graupel before getting back down through the hourglass. Difficult, dangerous, satisfying. We used the fixed ropes in the hourglass, otherwise it would have taken at least an hour longer. 14er #48 for me, #46 for Trisha.
