Ascent Trip ReportBehind residential homes in a densely populated urban area.
We are on our way back from Houston, TX, after visiting our son and his family. Decided to visit a few High Points on route, in this case the Detroit High Point in MI....... before crossing the Ambassador Bridge back into Canada at Windsor, ON.
From here we will make our way to Essex County and Pelee Island High Points both in Southwest ON.
The Detroit High Point is located at the Northwest corner of the city, East of Southfield Parkway Hwy #39, between 7 Mile Road and 8 Mile Road.
Find your way to the (north-south) Southfield Pwy #39, get off at exit 14, 7 Mile Road and drive East for .9km (about 9 short blocks) to Murray Hill Street. Turn left (north) and travel 1.1km to #20010 Murray Hill on the right (pass a small park on the right just before arriving) ..... the High Point is in the back yards of these the small bungalow houses, in this very densely populated community.
