Ascent Trip Report

Great hike. Went up wrong trail at first, took what looked like an old jeep road directly to the right of the observer cabin about 0.8mi and started bushwacking toward the top at the end of any visable sign of a trail until i realized this couldn't possibly be the trail. Went down and found the TH a few hundred feet to the left of the cabin. Trail was in very good condition, well marked once you find the TH. Interesting outing, suspension bridge over Hudson, a nice 'boardwalk' through Jimmy lake and a pretty steep ascent. Well worth the hike. Looking forward to coming back to this area to hike Allen, maybe next spring.
