Ascent Trip ReportWith guide Pete Shelley and 3 others. Spent 1 night near Huckleberry Lake and 2 nights near Avalanche Lake. We were all very proud of this climb. One mistake -- we didn't take lights to the summit and had to come down in the dark for awhile before we reached moonlight. Otherwise perfect! We did the standard route up the ridge from Froze-to-Death plateau. While we were on the summit, a couple of guys we had seen a little below came up the North Face (the direct route from Avalanche Lake). They were young and very excited and I couldn't help liking them. There was only one entry in the summit register before us this year.
