Ascent Trip Report

Beautiful, cool day for an amazing experience. My buddy Dan and I climbed up, despite the ranger's recommendation that we do not go up. We started from the Roaring Brook parking lot, hiked up to Chimney Pond (1 hr 40 minutes), and made our way up the through Cathedral, across Knife's Edge and down the Helon Taylor trail. It took us 8 hours. I wouldn't recommend this trail for unless you're in fairly good shape. Being nimble is definitely a benefit, since alot of the trail requires technical climbing (and not hiking). If you're in for an adventure, this is the hike you want to go on!

The views are absolutely amazing.
