Ascent of Mount Scott on 2009-07-26
|Date:||Sunday, July 26, 2009|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||8929 ft / 2721 m|
Ascent Trip ReportStarted at the trail head in Crater Lake National Park. The trail is maintained but very rocky. I did this climb with my cousins 14 year old grand daughter, Olivia. Nice hike/climb for families and people of all ages. Since this is the highest point in the park, it provided spectacular views in all directions. Although the trail head sign posted the elevation at 8926 and this site posts it at 8929, at the summit I stood on a US Geodetic survey marker that posted the elevation at 8988. Who are you going to believe?!
