Ascent Trip ReportFrom Houston's outer ring road #8 at its northwest side,we went north on hwy #249 and got off at Grant road and drive west (or get off at Perry road and drive south) to the intersection with Perry Road........ the high point of this area is on the northwest corner, 20-30 feet from the roads, about 3 feet higher than the roads, the huge Cypress Creek High School is on the southwest corner.
This High Point is outside the Houston city limits.
ADDENDUM DATED 2015-01-24 ....I got a friendly email from Michael Schwartz a while back advising me that my job was to go to the Main Houston HP and not to an area outside inside the Houston City Limits. Rose and I are back south this Winter, visiting our son in The Woodlands just to the north ..... so my son Michael and I came back today to revisit the HP. On the southeast corner is a huge "Seniors Independent Living Facility, Orchard Park at Willow Brook". We walked the area to our satisfaction, good luck on finding natural ground.
